Earlier today, Kathy Bates and AMPAS (Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences) President Sid Ganis announced the nominations for the 80th Annual Academy Awards Ceremony. The ceremony to honor the greatest film achievements of 2007 is currently scheduled for Sunday, February 24, 2008 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California, with Jon Stewart set to host the ceremony. Unfortunately, everything is somewhat uncertain at the moment due to the ongoing WGA strike.
