Sony Computer Entertainment has now released System Software 2.17 for the PlayStation 3 game console. Those expecting exciting new features will be disappointed, however. The update is a minor update addressing certain system stability issues while playing PS3 format software.
The update is available using the system update feature for online-connected PlayStation 3 systems. Alternatively, it can be downloaded using a PC directly from Sony's website.
